Insurance and Financial Policy
Our goal is to help remove financial barriers so our patients can receive the dental care they need and desire. Many patients have some type of dental insurance, and In the majority of cases, we are able and pleased to assist you in maximizing your benefits. At your first visit, we will ask you for current insurance information. We may ask you to confirm this information at subsequent visits, so we can remain up-to-date and fully informed to serve you. As a courtesy to you, we file all claim forms electronically, provide postage for special claims, and track the claims as an obligation to you.
Dental insurance operates differently from medical insurance in several key ways. While medical insurance often covers a broad range of services with varying co-pays and deductibles, dental insurance typically focuses on preventive and routine care. Dental plans commonly include coverage for services such as cleanings, exams, and X-rays, with an emphasis on preventive measures. Major dental procedures, like crowns or root canals, implants and orthodontic services will have out of pocket expense as copay.
Unlike medical insurance, dental insurance often has an annual maximum beneļ¬t limit, representing the maximum amount the plan will pay for covered services within a year. Dental insurance is structured to encourage preventive care and early intervention, aiming to address issues before they become more complex and expensive to treat.
